As my kids get older and move through high school, I have started to wonder how long I will continue to pay for their cell phone service. As of now, I don’t pay for their smartphones any more. I helped pay for their first one. But each of my sons is on their second smartphone, which they paid for with their own money.
I do, however, pay for their cell phone service (or plan), which amounts to roughly $40/month per child. So when is a reasonable time to stop paying this, thus forcing my children to either reimburse me or get their own cell phone plan?
Is it when they graduate high school? Graduate college? Or maybe when they get their first job and can better afford it? I’d like to hear what you think. Can you take a few seconds to let me know what you would do (or plan to do) by voting in the poll below?
