Two things I know about my sons. They both love using crazy fonts on the computer and they both love Harry Potter. Which is why I can’t wait to tell them I just installed a new Harry Potter font on their computer.
I found the Harry Potter font while browsing an article on Mashable titled 24 Famous Fonts You Can Download for Free. As the title implies, there are 23 other fun fonts besides the Harry Potter font that you can install for free. Fonts such as Walt Disney, Back to the Future and even a PEZ font.
Installing the Harry Potter font is easy. If you have Windows 7, simply download the font, double click the zip file to open it and then double-click the HARRYP_.TTF file inside the zip file. This will bring up a font preview window like the one below.
To install the font permanently, just click the Install button near the top left of the font preview window.
To use the font, just open any Windows application like Microsoft Word and look for the font named Harry P. Select the font and start typing away. Yup, it’s that easy.
