If Microsoft designed the iPod package

Microsoft has taken a lot of heat lately mainly due to the bad press Windows Vista has received. But also because they have just sat back and let Apple attack them with their “Hello I’m a Mac and I’m a PC” ad campaign without firing back a single shot.

Meanwhile, Apple has moved up to the third spot in computer sales and has been thriving off the media attention of their non-computer products such as the iPod, Apple TV and the iPhone.

A friend of mine on Twitter led me to a YouTube video that may lend even more explanation for why Apple products are so appealing. Maybe it’s just the packaging Apple products arrive in. I know I can say first-hand that I was genuinely excited when I opened my first iPod and iPhone packages. I felt like I belonged to some elite group.

Would people have the same feelings if Microsoft designed the packaging? Watch the video and make your own decision.
