Forgot your Gmail password? It’s okay! Google is great at providing users with easy ways to recover a forgotten password. We’ll walk you through the steps to help recover your account, just make sure to provide the necessary security information during account registration.
Forgot Gmail Password | Easy Steps To Recover Your Account
Step 1: Forgot Gmail Password
First, if you forgot your Gmail password, go to the Google homepage or account page.
Click Forgot Password and you’ll be directed to another page.
The page will show another field where you’re supposed to enter the last password you remember using the Google Account.
Step 2: Ask For A Verification Code
If you were able to link a phone number to the Gmail account, you can ask for a verification code to be sent via text message. On the other hand, you can also answer some security questions if you have chosen the Verify your identity choice.
Google also might ask you to confirm a text to the mobile phone linked to the account, confirm a message to the email you’ve associated with your Gmail account, enter an email that you can check right away, or confirm an email to a recovery email account you have set.
Step 3: Enter The Verification Code
If you already have a verification code, enter it in the field on the screen.
The system will then ask you to enter a new password and confirm it in the fields on the screen. Click “Change Password.”
Step 4: You’re All Set
Now, even if you forgot your Gmail password, after all the steps we’ve been through, you’re all set! Your password has been recovered and you can now access your Gmail account. Click “Accept.”
However, if you’re unable to enter a previous password or you were not able to receive a verification code linked to your account, Google will ask you why you can’t access your account. Enter your reason and send it. Google will answer the query or problem within three to five business days.
