If you use Google Chrome or Firefox to browse the Internet, you can mute the sound for any website that auto plays a video or any type of audio advertisement that you don’t want to hear. Move your mouse up to the tab at the top of your browser and right-click with your mouse on the tab. On the pop-up menu that appears, left click on “Mute tab” and all audio will be muted for the current website and any other website you visit in that same browser tab.

Patric Welch

Patric Welch founded Noobie, Inc. in 2006 to help others effectively choose and use technologies to enhance their work and lives. The catchy company name earned Welch the name of Mr. Noobie®, but, in reality, Welch is an experienced and professional techie. Unlike most techies, Welch evaluates emerging technologies from a noobie’s perspective and provides technology education for all skill levels in a friendly, non-threatening way.
