My wife completed the Indianapolis Mini-Marathon (that's 13.1 miles for those of you who didn't know) last weekend and I couldn't be prouder of her. She set her mind to finishing it and did exactly that, even though she had to complete the entire mini-marathon by herself. She also bought a neat little device that helped me write today's blog. I read an article on the Lifehacker website titled Keep an Emergency Photo Album in Your Phone to Quickly Provide Important Information in a Crisis. At first glance, I thought this was a good idea. I figured it meant to keep photos of important contacts or insurance information. But it was more than that. The article stated you should keep pictures on your mobile phone of your photo ID, your health insurance card, your auto insurance card as well as photos of your prescription medication. I remember when my kids were younger my wife and I bought all kinds of children's music on CD. And I bet you we spent well over $100 on the music easily. Fast forward 10 years and it's not even cool to buy music on CDs any more. MP3s, iPods and smartphones with built-in MP3 players are all the rage. Apparently, it's also not cool to spend $100 on music as witnessed by Amazon's latest deal on the Children's 101 MP3 collection. As you would expect, the collection contains 101 children's songs. I have yet to receive a single broadcast text on my phone that I didn't ask for. That's a fancy way of saying spam text hasn't infiltrated my smartphone... yet. But if and when it does, I'll be ready. Mainly because one of my clients is receiving text spam right now and asked me to look into how to stop it.
