My reliance on my computer and Internet connection is downright scary. Even so, most of the time I don't give it a second thought. That is until the power goes out. Noobies are notoriously awful with password administration. Most of them use the same user name and password for every secure web site. Even worse, noobies love to use easy to crack passwords like the word password, their pet's name or some variance of their children's names. And the software companies aren't helping either. Internet browsers such as Internet Explorer and Firefox have options to remember passwords for you. My sister called me from a Circuit City store last week. She was ready to buy a brand new laptop computer and wanted to know whether or not it was a good deal. I've been declaring this for the past two years but I think it's time I go on record. Within the next three years, give or take a year, we are going to have a problem with electrical theft in our country. I'm not talking about black ski mask over the head, sneak around with a flashlight in the dark theft. Yesterday I was having lunch at my new favorite coffee shop when a man sitting at the table next to me asked me if I knew who sung the song that just played on the radio.
