It finally happened. My wife and I purchased an iPod for our son for his birthday. Not completely unusual except our son just turned six. Someone recently asked me if there was a way to charge her iPod without having to connect it to her computer. My answer was yes as long as you are willing to spend $30. The $30 will get you an Apple USB Power Adapter which allows you to plug your iPod USB cable into the iPod on one end and the power adapter on the other end.
