During a 1-on-1 coaching session this morning, my client told me he would like some help picking out a new television. He told me that he had DIRECTV but wanted to make sure he had his new television in time for the transition to digital television next February. I've seen dozens of reality shows over the past decade. Most of them never really stuck with me, but a few of them caught my fancy. One such reality show that I never miss is the Amazing Race. Last week I wrote about the good and the bad of using an attic antenna. In that blog post I mentioned that I was hiring an attic antenna specialist to install one (or more) antennas in my attic so I could have a master antenna signal to use throughout the house. I'm happy to report that the entire experience from start to end was a wonderful success. I have 4 televisions in my house. Since I dropped DIRECTV last spring, I have only been able to watch television on 2 of them. This is because I now require an antenna to pull in the analog or digital signals currently transmitting over the air and I only have 2 indoor antennas. 2 antennas, 2 televisions that I can watch. I have digital converter boxes for the other 2 televisions but they aren't doing me any good without an antenna hooked up to them.
