I love Halloween. I love watching my kids dress up in their favorite costumes running from house to house saying "trick or treat" trying to break last year's candy record. I even secretly wish that just once the Great Pumpkin would show up for Linus in the pumpkin patch. But my love of Halloween doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement. Especially when it comes to technology. So my technology I'd like to see is the merger of Halloween and technology. I'd start by putting facial recognition cameras and software on my front porch so I could recognize not only…

Those of you that know me know that I use technology for everything. Need to know if it's going to rain today? Check the weather app on my iPhone. Need to remember when my library books are due? Send an email to Sandy and tell her to remind me. Trying to lose some weight? Jump on the Wii Fit. That's why I was so intrigued today that I didn't use a lick of technology when my day took a turn for the worse. That's enough time for me to form an opinion although my opinion fluctuated over the course of the 30 days. My first impression of the VZ Navigator was that it was too small. Keep in mind I'm used to (read that "spoiled by") the 4.5" display on my standalone Garmin Nuvi 660. The display size on my Env2 weighs in at only 2.5". Screen limitations aside, the VZ Navigator functionality is actually quite impressive. It…
