Back in June, I explained to everyone how you can get a cruise for $69. That blog post produced a lot of comments and personal emails from people asking me some fantastic follow-up questions which I duly answered one at a time (see the original post for my answers). A few of you jumped right in and joined the DreamTrips Life program and I'm looking forward to (hopefully) meeting up with you on a future trip! If you didn't join or were on the fence about joining, listen up. I just got my hands on something that is going to…

If I had it my way, the $10 surge protectors you get at Wal-Mart would have their name changed to "power strips". I don't think they stand a chance at protecting any kind of real surge. If you follow me on Facebook, you've no doubt noticed that I've spent quite a lot of time traveling over the past 18 months. I've been to local destinations like Nashville and Las Vegas and family destinations like Chula Vista Resort in the Wisconsin Dells. I've even expanded my international boundaries with a trip to Ireland. And just a few weeks ago I returned from a wine tour vacation in Sonoma, California. Next month, I'll be taking the family back to the Wisconsin Dells and then I'll end the year on a cruise to the Bahamas with my wife in…
