This morning I attended an All Pro Dad's breakfast with my two sons at their elementary school. I look forward to this event every month as it reminds me how important my kids are to me. During this morning's event, the presenter told the story of Olympic sprinter Derek Redmond and what transpired during one of his events back in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. As the story goes, Derek was about halfway through the race with the lead when he pulled a hamstring in his right leg. Of course this immediately took him out of the competition as all… Continue reading...

Back in November of 2010 I started posting hot deals every week on Noobie's Deals page from companies such as Amazon.com, Best Buy and Walmart. While I would love to write about many of the better deals mentioned on the page, I simply don't have the time or resources to do so. If you can not see the embedded video above please use the following link: A… Continue reading...

What's the first thing you think about when you wake up in the morning? If you're like me you start immediately processing and prioritizing your to-do list. Gotta call so-and-so back. Need to reply to those emails. Am I prepared for that 2:00 meeting? And if you're like me, the end of the day comes in a blink of an eye. Sure you probably checked off a few to-do items along the way but I bet you added more than you completed. What if instead of this rat race you started your day by thinking of just one thing you… Continue reading...

It's impossible to not recognize this time of year that people celebrate different holidays. Yet, at the same time I am saddened at the pressure to replace what I celebrate, which is Christmas, with a generic "Happy Holidays" to people I meet and talk to throughout the day. So I offer you this. If you celebrate Christmas, I wish you and your family a very merry Christmas. And I'd love to share with you a great video I discovered on YouTube called Christmas 2.0. It's the telling of the Christmas story with modern technologies such as Gmail, Facebook and YouTube.… Continue reading...
