Touch screen devices like the iPhone and the iPad are incredibly easy to use. Touch here, swipe there, pinch and spread to zoom in and out. But all of this touching and swiping has one major downside—fingerprints! It drives me crazy. Here I have this beautiful and elegant techno-wonder gadget in my hand and all I can see are the fingerprints on the screen. Oh sure, I've used an eyeglass cleaning cloth and even the shirt I'm wearing to try and remove the fingerprints but these never really seem to do the job. Yesterday was Noobie's 5th Anniversary. When I woke up I had to pinch myself that I've really made it 5 years. Well, actually I had to help my kids find their Easter baskets first as Noobie's 5th Anniversary coincided with Easter Sunday this year. This morning I attended an All Pro Dad's breakfast with my two sons at their elementary school. I look forward to this event every month as it reminds me how important my kids are to me. During this morning's event, the presenter told the story of Olympic sprinter Derek Redmond and what transpired during one of his events back in the 1992 Olympics in Barcelona. As the story goes, Derek was about halfway through the race with the lead when he pulled a hamstring in his right leg. I'm a sucker for videos like this. Whether any of this future technology ever becomes reality remains to be seen but, for me, it's fun to watch either way. Yes, the entire video is really a 5 minute ad for Corning products but who cares. Like I said it's still fun to watch.
