I keep up pretty regularly with all things technology in the news. Which means I've known for quite some time that Guitar Hero is one of the most popular video games right now. I've even run into several adults that have the game and talk about how addicted they are to it. But until recently, I had never seen nor played Guitar Hero. That all changed on Father's Day when I received Guitar Hero for the Nintendo Wii game system. Many, many hours later I was still playing and my fingers on my left hand actually hurt from playing too… Continue reading...

My recent pizza cravings have earned me a free 30 day trial at GameFly, compliments of Pizza Hut. If you don't know what GameFly is think Netflix for video games. Choices include cell phone, PDA, microwave, email, Internet, GPS, TiVo, television, DVD player, digital music player, video game console, digital camera, other and none of the above. I voted in the poll but found it difficult as you can only pick one technology from the entire list. I ended up going with the Internet because using the Internet is so much a part of what… Continue reading...

Last Friday my son went over to a friend’s house to play for a while. Little did I know this was going to have two side effects: 1. It was going to cost me $10. 2. I was going to feel like a kid all over again. You see when my son went to his friend’s house, he and his friend played the Nintendo Wii. But they didn’t play a game on CD or DVD (to be honest I’m not sure which format the games use). Instead they played a game that my son’s friend had downloaded from the Wii… Continue reading...
