I rented a movie from Blockbuster over the weekend. While I was browsing the rental shelves I became annoyed at all of the extraneous stuff that Blockbuster now sells. Instead of letting this get to me I decided to channel my annoyances and visualize what the perfect Blockbuster store would look like. That is, my own personal Blockbuster. I think it would look like this: The shelves would contain new releases only. I can't remember the last time I went to Blockbuster and rented anything other than a new release. It would only stock new releases that have 5 or… Continue reading...

Three traits define my shopping habits: I almost always try to find what I am looking for online before I head out to a brick and mortar store. I hate waiting. I hate waiting even more when at the end of the wait I find out what I want isn't in stock. These three traits basically sum up why I don't have a Wii Fit yet. I've even run into several adults that have the game and talk about how addicted they are to it. But until recently, I had never seen nor played Guitar Hero. That all changed on Father's Day when I received Guitar Hero for the Nintendo Wii game system. Many, many hours later I was still playing and my fingers on my left hand actually hurt from playing too… Continue reading...

My recent pizza cravings have earned me a free 30 day trial at GameFly, compliments of Pizza Hut. If you don't know what GameFly is think Netflix for video games. If you don't know what Netflix is, think of GameFly as your online game rental store. When I decided to claim my free 30 day trial code at GameFly earlier today, I had every intention of writing about my experience with GameFly in this blog post. But the problem I ran into along with the eventual solution to that problem changed my direction completely. It all started when I noticed… Continue reading...
