A few months back I read an article that mentioned the top two reasons technology products are returned to stores. They have nothing to do with the product being defective. Rather it's that the technology product didn't live up to the buyer's expectations or that the buyer simply couldn't figure out how to use the product. Today, I heard a first-hand story that made me whole-heartedly believe this article. A client and friend of mine told me he bought the new LG Dare mobile phone for his Verizon Wireless plan and returned it just a few days later. He said… Continue reading...

I've stumbled upon a unique opportunity for my blog readers. SanDisk, a company best known for making flash memory cards, has sent me a free SanDisk Mobile Ultra High Performance 8GB microSDHC Card with Reader under the pretense that I give it away for free as part of a contest. Happens to me all of the time. Which is why today's technology I'd like to see is caller ID with notes (feel free to come up with a better name). Caller ID with notes would work hand-in-hand with your existing caller ID system. The only difference is that rather than just display the name and phone number of the person calling,… Continue reading...

The days that I put an outgoing letter in my mailbox are some of my favorites. Why? Because I get to put the little red flag up to tell the mail carrier to pick up the mail. And when the mail carrier does pick up the mail, he or she puts the little red flag back down. It's not the little red flag that excites me. It's knowing when the mail has been delivered without having to walk down the driveway to the mailbox to check. Call me lazy but I hate wasted trips only to find out the mail… Continue reading...
