I love Halloween. I love watching my kids dress up in their favorite costumes running from house to house saying "trick or treat" trying to break last year's candy record. I even secretly wish that just once the Great Pumpkin would show up for Linus in the pumpkin patch. But my love of Halloween doesn't mean there isn't room for improvement. Especially when it comes to technology. So my technology I'd like to see is the merger of Halloween and technology. I'd start by putting facial recognition cameras and software on my front porch so I could recognize not only…

Have you ever been stuck in your closet trying to figure out what to wear? All of the usual questions cross your mind. Is it warm enough out for this shirt? Does this shirt go with these pants? Sure, I receive email weather alerts for my zip…

Grocery store checkout lanes are completely automated now. So automated in fact, that many of them no longer require a cashier. You just scan your own items and handle the payment yourself. So why is it that when we create our grocery lists at home, we still do it with pen and paper? The technology I would like to see is a refrigerator with a built-in scanner. As soon as you run out of something, say milk for example, you slide the UPC label under the scanner and just like that, milk is added to your grocery list. Internet enabled?…
