It was bound to happen to me eventually. Over the weekend, my computer got a virus. Well, it didn't really get a virus. More like a virus wasted a bunch of my valuable time. The reason I didn't actually get the virus is because I use Microsoft's Windows Live OneCare anti-virus program. And it did its job. Sort of. Recently, I was helping a client with her computer when I noticed a security alert pop up in the bottom right-hand corner of her screen. The alert detailed a virus that her security software had detected (thank goodness for the security software). When I clicked the link for more information, the virus was described as one that is commonly obtained from a file downloaded using a file sharing service. I'm a big fan of eBay, mainly because there's a never-ending audience for things you are trying to sell that you think no one would ever want to buy.
