Summer is fast approaching and for the second year in a row my wife and I have decided not to put our kids in any summer camps. This is a luxury we have because I work out of my home but I won't try to sugarcoat it—it's a challenge keeping our kids occupied all day. And by occupied I don't mean watching television and playing video games all day. That would be the easy way out. The hard part is getting them to play outside, read a book or work on some sort of creative project. But this year, I…

If you haven't heard, Redbox will be raising their prices on DVD rentals from $1.00 to $1.20. The Blu-ray and game rental prices will remain unchanged. The price increase is effective October 31, 2011. You want to know what I think about the price increase? Well, all of the following two word sentences pretty much sum it up for me. Big deal. Take a look at these examples: DIRECTV Pay-per-view movie: SD: $4.99 HD: $5.99 DIRECTV Live Event (UFC): SD: $44.95 HD: $54.95 Redbox 1 night rental: DVD: $1.00 Blu-ray: $1.50 iTunes Movie Rental: SD: $3.99 HD: $4.99 iTunes Movie Purchase: SD: $14.99 HD: $19.99…

A lot of people are upset about Netflix after their recent announcement regarding their new pricing models. I'm not one of them. In fact, I'm as happy as ever with my Netflix service. Here's two reasons why: 1. I only have the streaming service so the separation of streaming and DVD plans has no effect on me. I already figured out that the DVD service no longer works for me.
