Store your receipts in an online shoebox

ShoeboxedStraight from the department of I had that idea 10 years ago and never did anything with it, I discovered a new web service today called Shoeboxed. To use the Shoeboxed service you send all of your paper receipts to them so they can scan and categorize them. No more jamming all of your paper receipts in a shoebox just in case you need them years later.

Like I said, I had this idea almost 10 years ago but I guess I was ahead of my time. I wanted the service so I could have digital copies of all of my paper bills like my phone bill, electrical bill, etc.

What's ironic is that now that I actually see the service live on the Internet, I'm not sure I'd use it. Perhaps it's fear of storing this information on the Internet. Perhaps it's the price tag, which ranges from $9.95/month for the Lite version to $49.95/month for the Business version.

What do you think? Do you see a value in this type of service? Would you use it? Leave a comment below and let me know.
