Secure your wireless network
Q: I just bought a new laptop with wireless access but I can’t get it to work in my house. It keeps asking me for a network key. What is a network key?

A: A network key is, in a sense, a password that is required to gain access to your wireless network in your house.
You should congratulate yourself for having one as a lot of people that set up their wireless networks neglect to secure the network with a password meaning neighbors can easily access their wireless network.
If you do not remember or did not write down your network key, you will have to look it up manually by using the web interface for your wireless device.
Unfortunately, without knowing the specific make and model of your wireless device, I can not give you specific instructions on how to do this.
You might, however, be able to find what you are looking for by looking at your wireless device’s manual for instructions on using the administrative interface or console of the wireless device.
If all else fails, please feel free to call Noobie and I will be happy to walk you through the process.
