Review: Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs

Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and BlogsPeople always ask me how they can get more awareness for their business on the Internet. It usually starts with a request to build a web site but quickly turns into a discussion about how blogs, social media and search engine optimization (SEO) should (I say must) also play a part in their marketing strategy.

Some of these business owners are on shoestring budgets and can't afford to dive head first into a big Internet marketing strategy. That's when they usually ask me what book they can read that will teach it all to them.

While I don't believe that one book alone will ever teach someone everything they need to know, Inbound Marketing: Get Found Using Google, Social Media, and Blogs does a pretty good job at covering the basics.

Personally, I didn't really learn a lot from the book but that's a good thing. As conceited as it may sound, I already knew much of the information presented in the book. But that doesn't mean it's not a good book. Rather, it's a fantastic book for small business noobies looking to jump start their Internet marketing.

So if you are a small business owner wondering how to leverage social media sites like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn, how to rank higher in Google or how to create a simple email autoresponder, check out Inbound Marketing. I promise you'll learn a lot.
