Quick Tip: Select your state fast
Many times when filling out your address on a sign-up form or order form on the Internet, you are presented with a drop-down list of two-character state abbreviations to ensure you select a valid state code. Next time, instead of using your mouse to display the drop-down list, try using the keyboard. It’s not as hard as it sounds. While your cursor is on the City field, press the Tab key to “highlight” the state drop-down list. Then repeatedly press the first letter of the state abbreviation until your state appears. For example, to select Indiana, you would press the “I” key three times–the first time for “IA”, the second time for “ID” and the third time for “IN”. Press Tab again to move on to the Zip Code field.
