Noobie helps friend choose between laptop and netbook
One of the perks I get out of running Noobie is the satisfaction of knowing I really helped someone. Sometimes it's helping someone pick out the right technical gadget. Other times it's making sure someone doesn't get the wrong gadget. And then there's the times when I'm just answering a general plea for help.
I've received a lot verbal "thank-you's" and "you saved my life's" as a result of helping others but I'm not sure anyone has taken the time to actually blog about it. Until now, of course.
A good friend of mine's wife was recently debating between purchasing a laptop or a netbook. Then she ready Noobie's article titled The naughty and nice of netbooks and got the answer she was looking for.
Unfortunately, as you will discover if you read her blog post about the buying experience, she didn't have the same luck with Fry's Electronics. If you have a few minutes, read her story. She has an interesting perspective on what element some sales people are missing.
Do you have your own Noobie experience you'd like to share? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below.
