Meet Shirley Smith, a noobie
Meet Shirley Smith, a noobie.
I met Shirley several years ago on a social networking site called Xanga. Since that time, both Shirley and I have migrated to and become friends on Facebook.
Shirley has often heard me talk about Noobie and technology in general and has reached out to me on occasion to ask for help with her computer and other technology gadgets.
A few weeks ago I asked Shirley if she would be willing to provide a Noobie testimonial in exchange for a Noobie Power t-shirt. Not only did Shirley agree but, much to my surprise, she changed her Facebook profile picture to a picture of herself wearing the Noobie Power t-shirt! I'd be crazy not to admit I loved the attention (and free advertising) I got from this.
Here's what Shirley had to say about Noobie:
My name is Shirley Smith. I am a busy Mom and work as a Mental Health Caseworker. I live near Springfield MO.
I struggle a lot with various things when it comes to the computer. When I was in high school, it was before computers, so what I have learned has been from trial and error, and what my kids have shown me!
I especially have trouble when it comes to which virus protectors, firewalls, and which cleaners are the best. I like to find websites that offer these for free, but I am never sure which ones can be trusted, or which ones will ask for your credit card after I spend half a day downloading it. :(
I also am not savvy on what to do to make my computer run faster when I know it is getting slowed down, and what is causing it.
I know I can trust Patric with Noobie, because he has helped me several times with these issues!
NOOBIE POWER!!

If you would like to give a Noobie testimonial, please email me at . Who knows, a Noobie Power t-shirt just might show up on your doorstep too!
