Look who’s cashing in on Black Friday
If you hung out on the Internet long enough over the summer you were bound to come across a video of Rebecca Black singing a song called Friday. It was wildly popular, but not because the song was good. In fact, quite the opposite.
If you can not see the embedded video above please use the following link: Rebecca Black - Friday - Official Music Video
Most people will agree that the song is juvenile and that the lyrics are terrible (to be kind). Some even argue that Rebecca Black could only pull off the song with the help of a little digital technology. If you need any proof of this, just check out the likes/dislikes on the video page. As of this writing, 61,044 people liked the video and 200,855 disliked it.
But say what you want, the song was "catchy". So catchy in fact, that Kohl's took notice.
So who's getting the last laugh now? I think the answer is clear after watching Kohl's Black Friday commercial below.

For the record, I have no idea what compensation or royalties Rebecca Black earned from this Kohl's commercial but I bet you it is more than a good percentage of people who hated on the video earn in a single year.

Is that Rebecca Black in the pink coat and grey hat? I’ve been wondering that since I first saw the viedo.
