Happy birthday to me!
Today was my birthday and I don't care what anyone else says, there's something special about being bombarded with "happy birthday" messages from every technology medium all day long. It's fantastic!
Most of the action took place on my Facebook wall but others emailed me, texted me or sent me tweets on Twitter. I even got a personal happy birthday video from Brett Favre compliments of one of my friends who knows how upset I get when his name comes up these days. Love it!
Receiving all of these wonderful birthday greetings also made me realize I don't pay enough attention to other people's birthdays. Starting today, I'm going to make a conscious effort to change that. I mean everyone deserves to enjoy their birthday as much as I did, right?
So to all of you who reached out to me on my birthday, I thank you. You made my day!

I’ve often heard friends that signed up for facebook way back when (but don’t use it regularily) say how surprised they were on their birthday when they receive dozens of birthday messages. Yes, it is nice to feel loved :)

My birthday was in late July and it was very gratifying to get all the birthday wishes from my friends. And, yes, even tho I might not know all of them in person they really ARE friends. Some I’m in contact with every single day and I can’t say that about my ‘live’ friends that I might not see for weeks at a time!
