Q: Do you use an online fax service? If not, do you know about any of them? I am thinking about getting rid of our landline, and I need a solution for the faxes. A: I use the free version of eFax. It's no secret. I despise PowerPoint presentations. They are almost always jammed with too many words jammed between too many bullets. And they serve as a crutch for presenters who feel the audience will be more informed if they can read along with what the presenter is saying. I have probably given over 50 (maybe even closer to 100) presentations since starting Noobie 4 years ago and I can count on one hand the number of times I've used a PowerPoint presentation. Most noobies with a wireless router in their house have no idea whether or not their wireless network is secure. And while I could sit here and write a bunch of complicated steps on how to secure the router, I think everything really boils down to these 3 basic steps. 1. Don't use an obvious wireless network name. If you don't want people to know which wireless network belongs to you, then don't use something obvious like your last name as your wireless network name.
