Earlier this week I wrote about my love/hate relationship with DIRECTV. Actually, mostly my hate relationship. But I promised myself I would return to the topic to discuss the love relationship. So in this blog post, I will concentrate only on what I like about my new DIRECTV setup. When I heard it was possible to donate $10 to the Haiti earthquake relief efforts by simply sending a text message from my mobile phone, I thought it was pretty cool (good cause aside). When I read that the Red Cross has received more than $3 million through this effort as of 9 a.m. EST, I was blown away. Yet another great use of texting I hadn't thought of. I have a love/hate relationship with DIRECTV. I'll post about the love later this week but I simply can't resist starting with the hate. Many of you know I recently re-subscribed to DIRECTV.
