I've grown accustomed to seeing computers in school now. Even in elementary schools. Kids these days just "get" computers. They don't even see them as a challenge. It's just second nature to them. I just returned from helping a client install a Canon Pixma MX850 Office All-In-One Printer she purchased using the Noobie Concierge service. Part of the printer setup required a whopping 13 minute print head alignment which gave my client and I some time to chit-chat. 12 emails reported missing! During this time, my client told me a story about something strange that happened to her when she was checking her Comcast email. I love to see how businesses utilize technology. Some get it right. Some miss the boat. And some are stuck somewhere in the middle. Like last week when the hotel I stayed at issued my room key as one of those electronic credit card thig-a-ma-jigs. I love these things. I always feel like a secret agent when I enter my room by inserting the card and waiting for the light to turn green. The corporate folks over at Best Buy owe a big thank you to Jason, one of their Community Connectors. And I'll be standing in line right behind them with my thank you. Jason single-handedly resolved my issue regarding my Madagascar 2 DVD and plush penguin purchase. And he did so in exactly eight days. Raise your hand if you knew I was on vacation last week in Cancun, Mexico. Ok Dad, you can put your hand down now.
