Remember the good 'ol days when you were with your family and wanted to call to wish someone happy birthday? Each person in your family would run to a separate room and grab an extension phone so they could all listen and speak at the same time. Well, actually one person would dial the phone number and once it started ringing would yell "PICK IT UP!" to everyone else in the house. Fast forward a couple decades where cell phones are commonplace. So commonplace in fact that many people have begun dropping their hard-wired home phone lines in favor of… Continue reading...

My 7-year-old son called his friend today to see if he wanted to go play outside in the snow (we received a foot of snow here this week). Using our home phone line, my son picked up the phone, dialed the number, put the phone to his ear and then suddenly got a really weird look on his face. If you are not reading this on the Noobie web site, click here to watch the video. Budget Widescreen digital televisions are expensive Plan on spending $500 - $1,500 for 32" - 42" screens Bigger… Continue reading...

I've started to notice a trend. People who can't decide between a larger digital camera with more options and better features and a smaller digital camera with fewer features but the utmost in portability are finally making a decision. They are getting both. Much like having two jackets in your closet, one for spring-like weather and one for the coldest of winter days, having two digital cameras serves a similar purpose. One larger, fully-functional digital camera for capturing those up-close action shots of your kids playing sports or those adorable photo Christmas cards. And another, tiny digital camera that easily… Continue reading...
