Yesterday, I wrote a blog post warning noobies that not every Black Friday deal is a good deal. After reading that blog post back a few times and realizing its somewhat negative tone, I felt compelled to do another blog post about Black Friday, but this time in a more positive light. That positive for me is Amazon.com. Black Friday, and the few days that follow, are some of the funnest days to shop online at Amazon.com. Here's why. For starters, Amazon.com can't disguise a bad deal as a good one. This is mainly because of its built-in reviews and… Continue reading...

Everyone I talk to seems to be getting really excited about the upcoming deals at most major retailers this Friday (known as Black Friday). I am no exception to this excitement. As part of being an All Pro Dad, I subscribe to their email newsletter and always look forward to the great parenting advice they give me. One email newsletter in particular, sent this week, really caught my eye. Here's an excerpt from that email: In order to effectively parent your children, you need to keep up on the latest technology. If you haven't learned the art of text messaging on your cell phone - start. It's a great… Continue reading...

I try to stay on top of things when it comes to email. Well, my work email that is. My personal email is another story. It is not at all uncommon for me to go 4 or 5 days before I catch up on all of my personal email. Oh sure, I use filters to make sure the high priority emails still get noticed. But it's the not-so-high-priority emails that really pile up. And the more they pile up the more I don't want to take the time to process them. But last night Google made a change to my… Continue reading...
