I spoke to Jim Daniel, owner of Attic Antenna, this week and asked him if we would be willing to extend the discounts on his attic antenna service to Noobie readers until the end of the year. Good news for us. Jim happily agreed. So if you have been thinking about dropping your satellite or cable programming in favor of free over-the-air digital programming or if you already receive over-the-air analog programming and want to make sure you are ready for the upcoming digital transition, you owe it to yourself to give Jim and Attic Antenna a call. My reliance on my computer and Internet connection is downright scary. Even so, most of the time I don't give it a second thought. That is until the power goes out. This happened to me last week during a mild thunderstorm. Thankfully, my UPS gave me enough time to save my files and shut down my computer. One thing that has always been a pet peeve of mine is when a husband and wife share the same email address. So you constantly have to remember that when you send an email to one, you're sending it to the other as well. Bummer if you are trying to plan a surprise birthday party. Worse yet, many times you have to rely on one person relaying your email message to the other. Sadly, this is often done old school by printing out the email or writing down a note as if you just listened to a telephone message. Where's… Continue reading...

During a 1-on-1 coaching session this morning, my client told me he would like some help picking out a new television. He told me that he had DIRECTV but wanted to make sure he had his new television in time for the transition to digital television next February. I told him flat out that there was no need for him to get a new television. That's when he said that he thought everyone needed a new television. As frustrated as I was that this message is still getting across to people, I did my duty as the founder of Noobie… Continue reading...
