The days that I put an outgoing letter in my mailbox are some of my favorites. Why? Because I get to put the little red flag up to tell the mail carrier to pick up the mail. And when the mail carrier does pick up the mail, he or she puts the little red flag back down. It's not the little red flag that excites me. It's knowing when the mail has been delivered without having to walk down the driveway to the mailbox to check. Call me lazy but I hate wasted trips only to find out the mail… Continue reading...

My old Internet Service Provider (ISP), Insight Communications was recently bought out (or they merged, I'm not quite sure how it went down) by Comcast. It's simply our way of thanking you for your continued business. I can't help but wonder what I did to elevate to VIP status with Verizon Wireless. Maybe it's the fact that I've been with… Continue reading...

Because of the time difference between Indianapolis and Beijing, many of the events have already been completed before they air on the U.S. networks. 20 years ago, this wasn't a big deal. You just made sure you didn't watch the news so that you could pretend any event you were watching was actually live. Fast forward to 2008. In order to not get the results spoiled for any event I am interested in watching I have to ignore… Continue reading...
