Who would have thought that technology could improve pizza delivery? Well, I'm a believer now. Last Friday night, things got a little hectic around the house and before we knew it, it was time for dinner and we had no dinner plans. Like any good dad would do in this situation, I came to the rescue with a little help from Pizza Hut and my wallet. I was about to pick up the phone to call when I remembered that Pizza Hut has online ordering now. So I decided to give it a try. Ordering the pizza online was a… Continue reading...

I recently made a decision to switch from one financial institution to another. I really had nothing against the old one except that they didn't have a single branch location within 20 miles of me. Despite the overwhelming sales decisions thrown at me at the Verizon Wireless store, I still managed to be impressed at a couple of things that occurred during my upgrade. The first was that my sales associate, Danielle, offered to transfer all of my contacts from my old mobile phone to my new one. I jumped on this opportunity which saved me quite a bit of time. The second was that Danielle told me I could… Continue reading...

I recently demonstrated a new web site for my homeowners association. During this demonstration I was required to log in with a user name and password. Since the laptop I was using for the demonstration was connected to a projector, everyone could see what I was typing. No, the audience didn't see my password. But they could see how many characters I had to type to complete my password. And by the time I was done with my password it looked like this: ******************** A couple of people in the audience started snickering and then one finally spoke up and… Continue reading...
