Whenver I teach Noobie’s Selecting a Cell Phone That’s Right for You workshop, I always get strange looks when I get to the section on text messaging. The iPhone is an amazing device. But what amazes me most about it is that whenever I show it to someone, I never get to the best features on the phone without the person I am showing it to exclaiming, “That is so cool, I want one!” Case in point. Here is what I love about my iPhone: It fully integrates with my Gmail account. If I delete an email on my iPhone, it is deleted on my email when I get back to the office. Visual voicemail. I could go on and on about the advantages DVDs have over their predecessor, the VHS videotape. But how many of you have ever heard anyone tell you a disadvantage? Please allow me to be the first. I have been going back and forth debating whether or not to purchase the newly revamped Apple TV. It seems that for every advantage I come up with, I give birth to another disadvantage. For instance, on one hand I would love to be able to rent high definition movies from the iTunes Store. But on the other hand I keep thinking of how many high definition DVDs I could rent from Netflix in lieu of the $329 Apple TV price tag.
