Q: I saw in the paper that there are now high definition DVD players that play both high definition formats. Is there any reason I wouldn’t want to get one of these players? A: The two high definition formats you are referring to are Blu-Ray and HD DVD. As I have mentioned before these two formats are battling it out much in the same fashion as VHS and Betamax did back in the eighties. Q: My computer won’t start. I tried turning it on and it came on for a few seconds and then shut off, I did this a few times and noticed that the monitor and keyboard didn’t even try to come on. I gave up. A few days later I tried it again and it made some popping and crackling sounds, like the electric was fixing to blow, so I yelled for my husband to come and unplug it.
