Apparently, the iPhone only needs two features
The iPhone is an amazing device. But what amazes me most about it is that whenever I show it to someone, I never get to the best features on the phone without the person I am showing it to exclaiming, “That is so cool, I want one!”
Case in point. Here is what I love about my iPhone:
- It fully integrates with my Gmail account. If I delete an email on my iPhone, it is deleted on my email when I get back to the office.
- Visual voicemail. My voice mail displays on my phone as if it were email. I click a voice mail entry and instantly I am listening to the voice message. No dialing my voice mail. No entering my PIN. No skipping over already played messages.
- I can watch videos or catch up on podcasts. This helps kill time in waiting areas, on long plane rides, etc.
Now here’s what people I show the phone are sold on:
- You can zoom in and out of pictures using a two finger pinch technique.
- You can view weather in different cities by sliding your finger from one side of the screen to the other.
At times like these I just bow down to Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple and brains behind the fun-to-zoom-in-on-a-picture and slide-your-finger-to-check-the-weather iPhone.

I love my iPhone, too! When I saw the title of your post I thought you were going to address “missing” features! Anyway, thought I’d go ahead and ask if you know about an IM chat client for the iPhone. I’ve checked Apple’s site and done a little research but haven’t found anything.
