Amazon Text Alert makes wait for Wii Fit less painful
Three traits define my shopping habits:
- I almost always try to find what I am looking for online before I head out to a brick and mortar store.
- I hate waiting.
- I hate waiting even more when at the end of the wait I find out what I want isn't in stock.
These three traits basically sum up why I don't have a Wii Fit yet. It's not available online, except for perhaps, eBay. It is available at some brick and mortar stores such as Target but they only receive a few in each week and you still have to wait in line to get your hands on one.
This is why I am loving Amazon.com right now. If you go to the Wii Fit product page on Amazon.com right now you will see this:

Rather than continually checking back with Amazon.com every day (see rules #2 and #3 above) I simply enter my mobile phone number in the Amazon Text Alert box and forget about it. As soon as the Wii Fit is back in stock at Amazon.com I will get a text message on my mobile phone letting me know it is in stock.
My fingers are crossed that this actually works. They're crossed even tighter that I'm near a computer with Internet access if and when I do get the text message. Stay tuned.
