50 gift ideas for when you’ve run out of gift ideas

A few months ago I got my hands on an ebook titled "Top 50 Christmas Gifts". I was planning on giving it away to Noobie readers as an early Christmas present but had a last minute change of heart.

My change of heart had nothing to do with giving it away. It had to do with whether or not a PDF ebook format was the best format to distribute. I tried something similar for Halloween and was shocked at how few people downloaded the ebook.

So this time around, I decided to convert the ebook into a fully functioning website. And that's exactly what I did. You can check it out at www.50christmasgifts.com.

I like the idea of a website better for a couple of reasons. For starters, it's much more intuitive to click a link on a website than it is to click a link in a PDF. In fact, I'm betting many of you reading this didn't even know you could click a link in a PDF.

Furthermore, with a website I was able to categorize the gift items allowing a visitor to click a category link to see only gift items related to that category. Even better, I was able to include a search box to allow a visitor to search for specific gifts like gift basket.
