special characters
Definition:
In the world of technology, special characters are known as the characters on a computer keyboard (although not restricted to just the characters on a keyboard) other than a-z (lowercase), A-Z (uppercase) and 0-9. Examples of special characters are !, #, &, " and +.
If a web site asks you to create a password and tells you that special characters are not allowed then orangejuice would be a valid password but *range-ju!ce would not.
Here's a word you may not know...
high definition television
High definition television (HDTV) provides a much higher-quality television picture and audio than a standard television. High definition programming also differs from standard television programming in that it is delivered using a digital signal as opposed to an analog signal and has an aspect ratio of 16:9 vs. 4:3 for standard television. The wider aspect ratio is what gives high definition television its widescreen look and feel.
