Definition:
The word podcast is a combination of iPod and broadcast. As the name suggests, podcasts are audio or video broadcasts that you can play on your computer, iPod or any other mp3 player. The ability to subscribe to an audio or video broadcast and regularly receive new episodes is what separates a podcast from a standard audio file.

Skype
Skype is an application that allows you to make free calls to anyone in the world who is also using Skype. You can also make calls to any land-based telephone number using Skype, but those calls are not free. In order to use Skype you must have an Internet connection (broadband recommended), the Skype software and a microphone or headset.
