plasma
Definition:
Plasma is a technology common to high definition televisions. Considered by many to be the cream of the crop when it comes to high definition televisions because of the accurate colors and deep blacks. Plasma televisions have wide viewing angles but can suffer from a sometimes-exaggerated problem of screen burn-in. Plasma competes with LCD and DLP technologies.
Here's a word you may not know...
resolution
A term used to describe the number of dots (or pixels) used to display an image. The higher the resolution, the better the quality of the picture. The resolution of a computer monitor is indicated by number combinations like 800 x 600. This means that there are 800 dots horizontally across the monitor and 600 dots vertically. In this example, 480,000 dots would make up the image you see on your monitor.
