URL stands for Universal Resource Locator or Uniform Resource Locator. A URL is an address that leads to a website on the Internet. For example, www.google.com is a URL. By typing www.google.com into a web browser, the computer locates Google's website and allows you to browse to it. URLs make it easy to find and remember website addresses.
