not-so-noobie

Definition:

Noobie, Inc. recognizes that there are varying degrees of noobie-ness in the world. If you are fairly proficient with technology but need a nudge in the right direction now and then, you might fall in the not-so-noobie category. Noobie uses a noobie meter (see graphic) to distinguish its articles, audio, video, courses & events, etc. to help noobies determine if the content is written at a level appropriate to their needs.

SIMM

SIMM stands for single inline memory module and refers to a series of DRAM modules mounted to a circuit board. SIMMs were commonly used in computers but have been replaced by their more efficient counterpart, DIMMs mainly due to the need to pair two SIMMs together which can be inefficient when upgrading computer memory. If you can remember nothing else, just remember that SIMMs are an older style of memory for computers.
