Common term used on the Internet referring to new or inexperienced users of technology. More experienced/knowledgeable people use it in purposes of negative reinforcement, urging "noobies" to learn more about the field or area in question.

A wi-fi hotspot refers to a public wireless Internet connection. Wi-fi hotspots are common in coffee shops, hotels and other places people gather. If you have a laptop or mobile device with built in wireless connectivity, you should be able to easily connect to the Internet using a wi-fi hotspot. It should be noted that not all wi-fi hotspots are free and that some businesses charge a usage fee to use their wi-fi hotspot.
