Definition:
Netflix is an online DVD rental service. After signing up for an account and agreeing to a flat rate monthly charge, you build up a queue of movies or television shows you would like to rent. Netflix then mails to you the top selections in your queue (how many depends on the plan you select). You can keep the DVDs as long as you like and there are no late fees. Netflix also allows you to stream a sub-selection of their movies and television shows directly on your computer.
