ink cartridge

Definition:

An ink cartridge is a plastic container that contains ink used by inkjet printers. Ink cartridges are replaceable and even refillable if you purchase an ink refilling kit. Ink cartridges are less expensive then toner cartridges, but need to be replaced more often. Black and white cartridges are sold separately from color cartridges, so if you have an inkjet printer that can print in color, you typically must purchase separate black and white and color cartridges.

Here's a word you may not know...

kilobyte

A kilobyte describes how much information can be stored on a device. Although the actual numbers are slightly higher, it is easiest to think of 1 kilobyte as 1,000 bytes.

For reference, a small Microsoft Word document typically takes about 25 kilobytes (25 KB) of storage space.
