high definition television
Definition:
High definition television (HDTV) provides a much higher-quality television picture and audio than a standard television. High definition programming also differs from standard television programming in that it is delivered using a digital signal as opposed to an analog signal and has an aspect ratio of 16:9 vs. 4:3 for standard television. The wider aspect ratio is what gives high definition television its widescreen look and feel.

Noobie, Inc. recognizes that there are varying degrees of noobie-ness in the world. If you are fairly proficient with technology but need a nudge in the right direction now and then, you might fall in the not-so-noobie category. Noobie uses a noobie meter (see graphic) to distinguish its articles, audio, video, courses & events, etc. to help noobies determine if the content is written at a level appropriate to their needs.
