Definition:
DVI stands for Digital Video Interface and is commonly found in computer monitors and early-model high definition televisions. DVI is designed to carry uncompressed digital video data to a display and is considered an upgrade to its analog VGA counterpart. However, DVI is quickly being replaced by its more superior counterpart, HDMI.
